Cricket Tournament gets underway at KC Sports Club

JAMMU, Aug 21: A 40-Over Cricket tournament got underway at KC Sports Club, here today.
The inaugural match was played between KC Sports Club A and KC Sports Club B. After winning the toss KCSC A decided to bat first.
Batting First, KCSC A made 188 runs in 40 overs. Fazil Rashid, Atul Choudhary and Rajinder Sharma scored 50, 38 and 33 runs respectively. Hisham Saleem took 3 important wickets, while Junaid, Ram Dayal and Vijay Dogra claimed 2 wickets each.
While chasing the target, KCSC B managed to score 171 runs to lose the match by 17 runs. Kanav Saini, Ram Dayal and Shivansh contributed 47, 39 and 29 runs respectively. Arvind Bhardwaj was the pick of the bowlers, who took 5 important wickets while Vicky Raina, Arjun Chowdhary, Nitish and Lakshay Sharma took one wicket each.
Arvind Bhardwaj was declared as the man of the match and awarded with a Gift Voucher sponsored by Ramada Hotel.
Former Union Home Secretary, Anil Goswami was the chief guest on the opening ceremony, who formally declared the Championship open.
