Corporate Challenge Cricket Cup gets underway

UDHAMPUR, Oct 24: Cor-porate Challenge Cricket Cup-2015 got underway, here today.
The tournament was inaugurated by CPO Udhampur in an impressive function.
T he 1st match was played between United Cricket Club and Kallar Cricket Club.
Earlier, UCC won the toss and elected to bat first.
Riding on a brilliant knock of unbeaten 103 from Gourav Khajuria , UCC  posted a decent total of 171 runs in the stipulated 20 overs,  losing 3 wickets in the process. Gourav hit the ball with fluid grace and utter brilliance to score unbeaten century in just 54 balls, studded with 10 delectable 10 fours and 3 massive sixes. From Kallar Cricket Club, Manjit  took 2 wickets.
In reply, Kallar Club managed to score 139 runs in the allotted 20 overs, thus lost the match by 32 runs. Sahil was the top scorer with 78 runs off 62 balls. For UCC, Abish Sharma and Gourav Khajuria took 3 wickets each. For his extraordinary display with the bat and ball, Gourav Khajuria was declared as man of the match.
