UDHAMPUR, May 12: District Level Inter School Tournament for Under 14 and 17 boys and girls in the disciplines of Cricket, Taekwondo and Wushu organised by Department of Youth Services and Sports concluded here at Subash Stadium and Common Public School.
Rakesh Jamwal, Joint Director Planning, Chief Planning Officer was the chief guest, while Suman Lata, Principal, Common Public School and Ajit Singh SO Planning Department were also present.
Around 148 boys and girls drawn from 19 schools of the District Udhampur took part in the tournament.
Final results:
In Taekwondo:
In Under 14 and 17 (Boys), gold medals were bagged by Manpreet and Sourabh of Common Public HSS, Partiyush of Army Public School Udhampur, Mannat of BBSVP Udhampur and Abhey of Amardeep High School Udhampur.
In Under 14 girls, gold medal winners are Neha of Prashant Public HS, Nitika of Common Public HSS, Apeksha of Common Public HSS Udhampur, Kanika of Common Public HSS Udhampur and Anjali of Common Public HSS Udhampur.
In Under 17 girls, gold medals were claimed by Ekta of BBSVP, Jagriti Sharma of BBSVP Udhampur, Sehaj of Common Public HSS Udhampur and Rimu of Common Public HSS.
In Wushu:
In Under 14 boys, Dev Shree of Army Public School, Udhampur, Ritik of Common Public HSS and Sejal Verma of APS Dhar Road Udhampur bagged gold medals.
In Under 17 boys, Saksham Gupta of BBSVP, Shivam Gupta of APS Dhar Road Udhampur, Sunil Goswami of Sainki Co-operative Tikri and Rohit Bhat of Happy Model HSS Udhampur claimed Gold medals.
In Under 14 girls, gold medals were bagged by Nitika and Kanika of Common Public HSS.
In Under 17 girls, Shifali and Sayani of APS Dhar Road, Pallavi and Shivani Thakur of Common Public HSS claimed gols medals.
The matches were officiated by Ajit Singh PEM, Som Dev Khajuria PEM, Naveen Sharma PEM, Romesh Chander PEM, Rajesh Kumar PET, Rakesh Khajuria PET, Gourav Sharma PET, Reena Gupta PET, Kanchan Bala PET, Sanjeev Kumar PET, Nitin Rathore PET and YashPaul PET.
The tournament was organized under the supervision of Ved Parkash, Deputy Director, Department of Youth Services and Sports Jammu and under the chairmanship of Sukhdev Singh, DYSSO Udhampur and activity incharge Sanjay Sharma, PEM, DYSSO Office Udhampur.
