Jammu, Apr 14: Upnayan Sanskar (wearing of scared thread) started at Chudamani Sanskrit Sansthan Basohli today. 24 students including 12 newly admitted of class Prathma Bhag 1 which is equal to 6th Standard of NCERT’s courses are part of this ritual performing.
The parents of students, respectable of town and teachers of Gurukul witnessed the initiation of Upnayan Sanskar.
During today’s celebrations tonsuring & putting ubtan (turmeric besan) ceremony were conducted amid chanting of vedic mantras.
Tomorrow, the wearing of scared thread & sucessive activities will be held in the premises of Neelkanth Mandir Basohli.
