REASI, Jan 27: Wrestler Chhota Gani of Hoshiarpur, Punjab, clinched the prestigious 3rd Annual Kah-Pohta Dangal Title 2025, defeating Benia Min of J&K Police in a thrilling 21-minute contest at Village Kah-Pohta in Jammu. Gani, the winner of the first malli main bout, was awarded a cash prize of Rs. 60,000, while runner-up Benia Min received Rs 40,000.
Senior BJP leader and President Jammu District, Nand Kishore Sharma, was the chief guest who distributed a total cash prize of Rs 2,60,000. He lauded the wrestlers’ performances and highlighted the importance of physical activities like wrestling in promoting a healthy lifestyle. The event was presided over by Shiv Kumar Sharma, President of J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association.
While, All J&K Panchayat Conference President, Anil Sharma, Wrestling Promoter Sat Paul Verma and BJP Mandal Pradhan Vikas Gupta were present as guests of honour.
The second malli bout was won by Muneer of J&K Police, who defeated Sahil of Punjab. Muneer received Rs. 12,000, while Sahil was awarded Rs. 9,000. The third bout was won by Nadeem from Doda, defeating Mam Hussain of Domel. Nadeem earned Rs. 10,000, and Mam Hussain received Rs. 8,000. The fourth bout was claimed by Fiza of J&K Police, who triumphed over Shamma from Hoshiarpur, Punjab, earning Rs. 9,000, while Shamma received Rs. 6,000.
The event was organized by the Kah-Pohta Dangal Committee, with smooth coordination by Raj Kumar (Raju), Narayan Dutt, Vijay Kumar, and others.
