RAMNAGAR, Oct 5: Two days Block Level Inter-Panchayat competitions Khelo India (CSS) 2019-20 for Chess and Carrom for boys and girls of Block Ramnagar got underway at Indoor Stadium, here.
S. Swarn Singh, District Youth Services & Sports Officer Udhampur was the chief guest on the occasion, who declared the competitions open.
The competitions are being organised by the Department of sports under the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports Govt. of India in collaboration with J&K State Sports Council.
About 454 boys and girls drawn from 31 Panchyats of Block Ramnagar took part in the competitions.
Results: Chess Boys: Panchayat Jandrari emerged winner and Panchayat Rang runners-up.
Chess Girls: Panchayat Marta B was winner and Panchayat Marta A runners-up.
Carrom Boys: Panchayat Jandrari was winner and Panchayat Kaghote runners-up.
Carrom Girls: Panchayat Marta A remained winner and Panchayat Marta B runners-up.
