JAMMU, Mar 24: Chenab Valley Super Kings, Rajouri Sunrisers and Chenab Raiders registered wins by defeating their rivals in the ongoing Zonal Level T20 Cricket Cup for under-19 boys, being organized by Zonal Police Headquarters Jammu under the Civic Action Programme at KC Sports Club Ground, here today.
In first match, Chenab Valley Super Kings defeated Rawi Tawi Warriors by seven wickets. Batting first Rawi Tawi Warriors scored 92 runs for the loss of all wickets in the allotted 16 overs match. Kawalpreet Singh made 27 runs and Aqib scored 18 runs. From the bowling side, Aftab took four important wickets while Rayees and Umar shared one wicket.
In reply Chenab Valley Super Kings chased the target in 15.1 overs by losing three wickets, thus won the match by seven wickets. Owais (42) runs and Waseem (32) were the main scorers. From the bowling side, Vishal took two wickets while Aqib clinched one wicket for his team. Owais was declared as man of the match for his brilliant batting.
In another match, Rajouri Sunrisers beat UR Super Kings by seven wickets. Batting first UR Super Kings scored 61 runs in 10.6 overs by losing all wickets with Nikhil 16 runs and Rahul 10 runs. From the bowling side, Sahil clinched four wickets while Umar Lone took two wickets. In reply Rajouri Sunrisers chased the target in 9 overs by losing 3 wickets thus won the match by seven wickets. Magar Shah scored 19 runs and Piyush made 17 runs. From the bowling side, Akhil bagged two wickets while Vansh secured one wicket. Sahil from Rajouri Sunrisers was declared as man of the match for his brilliant bowling spell.
In 3rd match, Chenab Raiders trounced JSK Strikers by two runs. Batting first Chenab Raiders made 97 runs by losing all wickets in 17.3 overs. Adnan scored 18 runs and Arbaz made 17 runs. From the JSK strikers Anubav took four wickets, Abay bagged three wickets, While Sourav and Archit took one wicket each.
In reply JSK Strikers could not chase the target and bundled out for 95 runs and lost the match by two runs. Nihkil made 33 runs while Vinayak and Abay contributed 20 and 16 runs respectively. From the bowling side Umar Shafi clinched two important wickets, Sajit Shah and Adnan shared one wicket each. Umar Shafi was declared as man of the match.
