JAMMU, Dec 28: Champions Cricket Club and New Rising Cricket Club Jammu registered empathetic win against their opponents and entered in the next stage of the ongoing “AOI Christmas T20 Cricket Championship”, being played at Parade ground, here.
In the first match, Champions Cricket Club defeated Friends Cricket Club by 7 wickets. Batting first Friends Cricket Club scored 61 runs for all wickets in 16 overs. Ritik made 14 runs and Arjun scored 12 runs.
From bowling side, Mohit took 3 wickets, while Karan, Sahil, Satnam, Banny and Akshit took 1 wicket each.
In reply, Champions Club chased the target in 14 overs by losing 3 wickets thus won the match by 7 wickets. Samar scored 26 rins and Bhannu made 13 runs.
From bowling side, Ritik took 2 wickets, while Shaheen took 1 wicket.
Mohit was adjudged as Man of the Match.
In another match, New Rising Cricket Club defeated Vishal Cricket Clubby 17 runs.
Batting first, New Rising Cricket Club scored 159 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in the allotted 20 overs. Mukul played a splendid inning of 79 runs, while Balowria made 18 and Vibore scored 10 runs.
From bowling side, Aqib took 3 wickets, Vishvajeet Singh took 2 wickets, while Rakesh and Amrit took 1 wicket each.
In reply, Vishal Cricket Club could not chase the target and managed to score 143 runs by losing all wickets in 19.5 overs thus lost the match by 17 runs. Amritpal Singh scored 57 runs and Jaspreet made 24 runs.
From bowling side, Ragu took 4 wickets, Dheeraj took 3 wickets while Nikhal took 2 wickets.
Mukul was declared as man of the match.
In tomorrow’s fixture, Road and Safety Club will take on Secretariat Blues Club and Simula Cricket Club will lock horns with Singh Cricket Club Akhnoor.
