KATHUA, Jan 16: To beautify the gateway of Lakhanpur, the Municipal Council Lakhanpur, Chairman Ravinder Sharma accompanied by MC CEO in the presence of large number of prominent citizens laid the foundation stone of new park and gym at Lakhanpur.
The park and gym will be constructed with estimated cost of Rs 25 lakhs.
While addressing, Chairman Ravinder Sharma said that it was long pending demand of youth to develop a park and gym for physical fitness especially for elderly persons for morning and evening walk.
He said that number of developmental projects are under taken for the beautification of Lakhanpur town which is gateway of J&K and mark of attraction for tourists.
He said that the construction of statue of Maharaja Hari Singh is also in progress, which is also attracting the people.
