SRINAGAR, June 16: Civil Defence Cricket Club (CDCC), Srinagar beat WCC Tigers by 9 runs in the T-20 cricket tournament being organised by Civil Defence at University grounds.
In another match Asar Cricket Club crushed Young Cricket Club by 40 runs.
The matches were witnessed by ASI (M) Shabir Ahmed Khan, Officiating Deputy Controller, Civil Defence and Coordinator of match Ghulam Rasool.
Meanwhile on the instructions of Additional DG Police, Civil Defence, HG and SDRF, DR Dolly Barman, two teams of Civil Defence volunteers headed by Imtiyaz Ahmed, Divisional Warden and Rafiq Ahmed Baba, Warden have been deputed by Aamir Ali, Deputy Chief Warden, Civil Defence to Tulmullah for providing assistance to pilgrims visiting Mela Kheer Bhawani.
Another professional team of SDRF headed by Mehraj Ahmed Shah, Commandant SDRF 1st Battalion has also been deputed.
