Carrom team flagged off to participate in Federation Cup

JAMMU, Dec 23: Vice-president Sameer Ahmed along with other members of the Association today flagged off J&K Carrom team (men and women) for upcoming 26th All India Federation Cup tournament, which is scheduled to be held at Varanasi (Uttar Pradesh) from December 25 to 28, here today.
The teams were flagged off from Joggers Park, Rajbagh Srinagar. The Association selected an eight member’s team for participation in the National, while Adil Rashid Shah, general secretary will accompany the team.
Men team: Furqan Nazir, Adnan Afzal, Waseem Yousuf and Waseem Bashir, while Sheikh Saqib and Dawar Rashid will accompany the team as managers, whereas Ayrooj and Sabira were part of women team, while Bilqis will accompany the team as manager.
The players were selected on the basis of their performance in the recently held 2nd Open UT level Carrom Championship at Institute of Hotel Management Rajbagh Srinagar on November 27 and 28, 2021.
