Career Abacus organises State Level competition

JAMMU, Oct 21: Career Abacus, a leading Abacus Teaching Institute organized State Level Competition for the students of Abacus in the Auditorium of MNKG. Montessori School, Gandhi Nagar, here.
Children from the age groups of 5 to 13 years participated in the event.
Over 550 students participated in the event, which started with the lighting of the traditional lamp by Palak Gupta of Presentation Convent, Anvya Sharma of Army School, Kaluchak, Director Career Abacus Arvind Sharma and Franchisee of other Centers.
The Competition was organized as per the guidelines provided by the Gazma which is a global Organization conducting International Abacus and Mental Arithmetic Competitions.
Arvind Sharma, Director of Career Abacus informed that the aim of this competition is to promote the learning of Abacus and Mental Arithmetic.
“Children are given a chance to compete among themselves and win prizes. Children were given 100 to 200 questions according to the stage they were studying which were to be completed within a time frame of 8 minutes. Due to vigorous training provided at Career Abacus’ 41 Centers in J&K, Children were able to answer the trickiest of mathematical questions in seconds,” Arvind said.
Everyone present at the examination hall was amazed to see the speed and accuracy of little children who were from different schools and standards (from KG to 8th).
The competition was conducted in different levels and age groups.
Arvind informed the parents that Career Abacus is the only Institution which has been conducting State Level Competition every year since its inception without any break.
Parents were informed that Abacus not only helps in improving the Arithmetical skills but it improves the memory, listening skills, imagination, creativity , self reliance and above all self confidence of the students.
For smooth conduct of the exam, Divya, Charanpreet, Aakaanksha, Sakshi, Navneet Kour, Shivani, Bandana, Tanya, Amrita, Sheetal Gupta, Taniya Kapoor, Pooja, Monika, Arti Bedi, Amanpreet, Muskan, Gurlien, Jasdeep Kour, Kuldeep, Anita Koul, Chandni, Ajay Kumar, Shakuntla, Jagdish, Arjun and Vikram were present.
Finally, Arvind Sharma presented vote of thanks.
