JAMMU, Aug 4: Cambridge International School Jammu organised a function within the School premises to inculcate a sense of commitment and responsibility among the students, here today.
Vidhi Singh Jamwal, (Chairman of CIS Jammu) was the chief guest of the event, while Shivdev Singh Jamwal (Vice Chairman CIS, Jammu) and Renu Bangroo, (Managing Director of CIS) were the guests of honour for the special occasion.
The ceremony began with the solemn Saraswati Vandana, followed by a crisp march by the student council. Thereafter, the rightful owners were bestowed with the badges of their respective positions.
Donning the mantle of accountability the head boy, head girl and school prefects received their badges and sashes from our respected chief guest and guests of honour. House prefects were conferred with badges by the Vice-Principal as well as senior coordinator.
With a lot of zeal and zest, the oath taking ceremony was further commenced by the Vice Principal, Rajni Malhotra, followed by the speeches of head boy and the head girl, affirming their missions to keep the flag of the School flying high. A musical performance was also performed by the well trained choir group.
Congratulating the student council in assuming their new roles, the chief guest urged the students to realize the importance of opportunities that come in their way, while the Managing Director in her speech urged the students to acquire skills that will make them worthy citizens who are willing to give back, not only to their families but also to the society, nation and world at large.
The ceremony ended with the vote of thanks, presented by the senior coordinator, Pooja Salathia.
