BSF School celebrates Annual Day with pomp & show

JAMMU, May 14: BSF School Jammu celebrated its Annual Day ‘Glimpses of Incredible India’ amidst great zest, vibrancy and elation.
Ram Awtar, IG BSF Jammu Frontier was the chief guest on the occasion, while Kamlesh Ram Avtar, First Lady BSF, President BWWA was the guest of honour.
The luminaries gracing the occasion included Officers of the Force, Principals of various reputed CBSE schools, Educationists, Parents and Students.
The function began with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp, which was followed by Ganesh Vandana and Shiv Stuti.
The Annual Report read by Dr S K Shukla, Principal BSF School Jammu highlighted the school’s achievements in both academic and co-curricular activities.
Cultural programme by students revolved around the theme ‘Glimpses of Incredible India’.
Students showcased their talents through group song, orchestra, ballet, skit, dance etc. The function took flight with the English skit ‘Bishop’s candlesticks’.
A musical feast was presented by the school orchestra group in the form of orchestral train journeying through various states of India.  Ballet revolved around the history of J&K State highlighting the cultures of Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh region.
Giddha sent the energy levels soaring among the audience.
The chief guest gave the prizes to the meritorious students who had excelled in academics and various competitions held at school, district and national level.
Mr Awtar was superlative in his appreciation of the students, teachers and the Principal of the school. He pointed out that BSF School Jammu glitters like diamond among all the BSF schools under the guidance of Principal Dr S K Shukla.
The vote of thanks was presented by Sunita Grover.
The programme culminated with the National Anthem.
