BSF Primary School dominates Day-1 of Sambo C’ship

JAMMU, Sept 15: BSF Primary School Paloura, Jammu dominated the Day-1 of the Jammu District Sambo Championship, which got underway at Indoor Complex, MA Stadium, here today.
Koshal Magotra, president Hotel Association Patnitop and senior Congress leader was the chief guest on the occasion, while Dr Sunita Gupta was the guest of honour.
Prominent among others present on the occasion were Sanjeev Singh, president J&K Sambo Association, Rajesh Kumar, Romi Jamwal, Sanjeev Gupta, Ranjeet Singh, Rohit Sadotra, Vishal Jamwal, Suraj Bhan, Vikas Gupta, AR Rehman and Rahul Jamwal.
Earlier, in Under-14 girls below 18 kg, Ruksar of BSF Primary School claimed gold, while Supreet Kour of the same school bagged silver. Tanisha of GD Goenka and Muskan of KC International shared bronze medal in this event.
In Under-14 girls below 20 kg, Palak Sharma and Arti Gupta bagged gold and silver respectively, while Tanisha and Jyoti claimed bronze.
Below 25 kg, gold went to Ashwani Bhat and the silver medal was claimed by Gurleen, while Khushi Sharma and Bagya Thakur bagged the bronze medals in this event.
In girls Open category weight, Divya Kumari, Malvika Kapoor and Khushi claimed gold, silver and bronze respectively.
Meanwhile, in Under-14 boys, Open weight, the gold went to Parmath Singh, silver to Himanshu and the bronze medal was bagged by Vishavjeet Singh Shan and Atul Dogra.
In Under-14 boys below 35 kg weight category, Shree got gold, Kartik Sharma claimed silver, while the bronze went to Vikram and  Akash.
