BSF organises medical camp for border population

KATHUA, Nov 14: A medical camp for civil population was organised by 97 Bn BSF at village Manyari, district Kathua here. The medical camp was inaugurated by Rajesh Kumar Gurung, DIG, Sector HQ BSF, Indreshwar Nagar, district Jammu.
During the camp, 410 patients were examined and medicines free of cost were distributed among them. The villagers including men, women and children with different ailments were examined. Dr K S Kumar, Commandant/CMO SG, Dr Kumud Divgyan, Dr Meena Chaudhary and Dr Ritu examined the patients.
It was observed that most of the patients were suffering from skin diseases, respiratory diseases, worm infestations, malnutrition etc. Dr K S Kumar delivered a lecture to the local people about prevention of diabetes mellitus, water borne diseases etc. Ashok Dagar, Commandant, 97 Bn BSF was also present on the occasion.
