BSF organises Fit India Freedom Run

POONCH, Apr 30: Border Security Forces (BSF) organised 10 km Walkathon under ‘Fit India Freedom Run Programme’ from Achaad village to Mankote village, here today.
The event was organised under the aegis of Ministry of Sports GoI, in which around 200 officers, subordinate officers and jawans participated.
The event was flagged off by Prempal Singh, Second-in-Command with adherence of COVID- 19 protocols and social distancing.
This campaign was aimed at generating awareness among the troops, families and border population for keeping everyone physically fit especially during this difficult time of pandemic.
“It is BSF endeavour to raise the awareness about health and fitness among border population by organizing these types of events regularly, which generates sportsman sprit and bonhomie among border population,” said Prempal Singh, the chief guest of the event.
