JAMMU, Oct 12: BSF Inter Frontier Games of Judo,Wushu, Gymnastics and Taekwondo concluded at Hargobind Bhatnagar Stadium, BSF Campus, Paloura, here today.
Around 900 sportspersons of all Frontiers of Border Security Force participated in these four days competitions.
Reiterating the commitment for better and healthy life, Ram Awtar, IG BSF said that outdoor games leads to physical as well as mental health of soldiers who are dedicated to serve the nation with higher synergy levels, adding that BSF has recognized the need to maintain a proper equilibrium between a healthy mind and healthy body to achieve sustained professional efficiency.
Dr Nirmal Singh, Speaker, Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly presided over the closing ceremony.
Jammu Frontier emerged overall Champion.
In Judo, North Bengal, Punjab and Rajasthan bagged first three position, while in Wushu, Jammu, South Bengal and Tripura claimed first, second and third position.
In Gymnastic, Jammu, Punjab and Gujarat won the first three positions, while in Taekwondo, Jammu, Gujarat, and Punjab bagged first, second and third place resepctively.
The meet was declared closed by Dr Nirmal Singh.
