KISHTWAR, Aug 10: Indian Army’s T20 Cricket Tournament namely ‘Brotherhood Championship Trophy’, organized to engage the youth of Kishtwar in sporting activities and hone their sporting skills, concluded, here today.
Indian Army organized the 38-days event in collaboration with ‘Matta Sports Club’.
The event was held under the supervision of Helipad Company Commander of Rashtriya Rifles.
A total of 64 teams drawn from Kishtwar and surrounding villages participated in the Tournament. from the surrounding villages of Kishtwar.
The matches were conducted on a league cum knockout basis and the final was played today between Sirkut and Asraria teams, which was won by Sirkut by 5 wickets.
The prizes include a plethora of items ranging from the championship trophy to cash prizes for the winning teams as well as individual prizes for players who excelled in the tournament.
The youth of the region are highly appreciative of efforts of the Army for holding this mega event.
