JAMMU, May 23: BOMIS Jammu took a significant step towards health education by organizing a seminar on Menstruation and Personal Hygiene for its girl students. The session was led by Dr. Amandeep Kour Anand, accompanied by her team of assistant doctors.
Dr. Anand delivered an insightful and interactive session covering topics like menstrual hygiene, emotional well-being, myths surrounding menstruation and practical self-care tips. The highlight of the event was a question-answer segment, where the Head Girl posed frequently asked questions on behalf of students. Dr. Anand addressed concerns related to cramps, irregular cycles, hygiene, mood changes, and physical activity during periods with clarity and empathy.
The session concluded with an open Q&A from the audience, encouraging young girls to speak up without hesitation. Principal Aparana Kohli presented mementos to Dr. Anand and her team, expressing gratitude for their dedication. “We aim to provide life skills alongside academics,” she said, reinforcing the school’s commitment to holistic development.
