KARGIL, Dec 12: The Block Level Sports Meet, organized by Mera Yuva Bharat (MYBK) Kargil in collaboration with the School of Agriculture Science and Technology (SAS&T), Kargil Campus, concluded today. The event witnessed participation from 50-60 students along with faculty, fostering fitness, teamwork, and campus engagement.
The meet was inaugurated by Dr Mutup, Director, College Development Council, University of Ladakh, who officially opened the proceedings. Competitions included Volleyball (Boys), Badminton (Boys & Girls), 200m Race (Boys & Girls) and Skipping (Girls).
In Volleyball, Team B led by Muzammil won the title, defeating Team C led by Parvez. In Badminton, Latifa (Girls) and Muzammil (Boys) clinched top honours. Mubarika won the Skipping event, while Sarwar and Khatija triumphed in the 200m races for boys and girls, respectively. Runner-up and second runner-up positions were also awarded across events.
Prof. Faizan Ahmad, Dean, SAS&T Kargil Campus, thanked Jigmet Spaldon, Coordinator (MYBK), for her support and emphasized that the meet promoted physical fitness and strengthened student-faculty bonds. Winners received medals and certificates and the event concluded with a lively prize distribution ceremony.
