KARGIL, Aug 26: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has condemned the last minute postponement of Ladakh Scout rally.
Addressing a press conference, Mohammad Hassan Pasha Media Secretary BJP UT Ladakh said that this is injustice with the hard working youths of district Kargil. Patriotic youths from far flung areas have come prepared for the Indian Army recruitment rally despite the pandemic situation with courage to serve the motherland, he added.
Equipped with COVID-19 negative certificate and a deep passion to serve in the Indian Army, these young men have nowhere to go in the dead of night. Cancellation notice of rally, which was scheduled to be held today, was issued yesterday around 5 pm, which is condemnable, he stated.
On one hand, DSSRB recruitment results are pending for last one year and on the other hand, DM Kargil is putting hurdles in the recruitment rallies to be conducted by Indian Army, he asserted.
Among others present were Mohd Ali Majaz UT vice president, Mohammad Hussain UT BJYM vice president and Nominated Councillor Lila Banoo.
