Inter Panchayat/Block Level Football C’ship

JAMMU, Jan 5: Bishnah and Akhnoor Blocks registered convincing victories over their rivals to advance in the ongoing Inter Panchayat/Block Level Football Championship, being organized by the Department of Youth Services and Sports in collaboration with J&K Sports Council at Mini Stadium, Parade, here.
In the first match, Bishnah defeated Pargwal by two goals to one (2-1). Abhishek Kumar scored both the goals for winners.
In another match, Block Akhnoor defeated Block Suchetgarh by two goals to one (2-1). For Akhnoor both the goals were scored by Abhishek Chandan, while for Suchetgarh Aditya Chopra was the goal scorer.
Almost all the block teams of District Jammu are participating in this mega event.
The competitions are being organised under the patronage of Dr Saleem-ur-Rehman, Director General, Youth Services and Sports J&K.
District Youth Services & Sports Officer Jammu, Sukhdev Raj Sharma is the Organising Secretary of the tournament.
