JAMMU, July 27: Third Whats App Kesari Vishal Dangal was organized by whats App Group in association with J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association was held at Domel under the overall supervision of Administrator of Whats App Group, Sardar Gurdeep Singh of Punjab at present Delhi and Treasurer Indian Style Wrestling Association of India, Shiv Kumar Sharma and other members of both the Associations.
Seventeen bouts were played in the one-day long wrestling event wherein top renowned wrestlers from Delhi, Punjab, Chandigarh, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh and J&K participated.
President J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association who is also president Senior Citizens Welfare Forum Katra, Shiv Kumar Sharma was the chief guest on the occasion, who gave away cash prizes to the winners and runners-up wrestlers.
Retired SP Prithvi Raj Sharma, Social worker, General Secretary District Reasi Indian Style Wrestling Association Naresh Kumar (Pappu Lakri) and Leading businessman cum wrestling promoter Ram Paul Sharma were the guests of honour.
The first main bout was fought between wrestlers Birju of Badri Akhara Delhi and Benia Min of J&K Police. This bout ended in a draw which lasts for 20 minutes and 15 seconds and both the wrestlers were jointly awarded with a cash prize of Rs 1,00, 000 by Shiv Kumar Sharma and Gurdeep Singh.
Second bout was played between Sunil of Chandigarh and Farooq of Sarore. This bout also ended in a draw which lasted for 23 minutes. Third malli bout was played between Sonu of H P and Kaka of RS Pura. This bout also ended in a draw.
Members and technical officials who helped in smooth conduct of this event included Sanjeev Sharma, Bittu Raina, Dr Sat Paul, Om Parkash Verma, Lochan Singh, Mohd. Fareed, Raj Singh, Virender Badyal (Vice-President J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association), Sardari Lal, Rajinder Kumar, Sarpanch Mohd. Sadiq, Sarpanch Rehmat Ali, Sarpanch Bibshan Singh, Naresh Kumar (Pappu Lakri) and Murli Dhar (Munna).
