POONCH, Dec 18: BHSS Junior and Poonch-XI registered wins in their respective matches on the Day-2 of the ongoing Poonch District Hockey Championship, being organized by Hockey Poonch under the aegis of Hockey J&K and sponsored by J& K State Sports at sports stadium, here today.
In Junior category boys, BHSS Junior registered win over City Club Poonch by 3-0 goals. For BHSS Junior, Shoib scored one goal in 5th minute, whereas Agrim netted two goals in 18th and 45th minutes of the match.
In Senior (Men) category, BHSS Senior lost to Poonch XI by 4-3 in penalty shoot out. During the match, both the teams scored 6-6 goals.
For Poonch-XI, Pawan and Matinder scored two goals each in 11th, 22nd, 30th and 50th minutes. Jaswinder and Rohit scored one goal each. For BHSS Senior, Shaid scored three goals while Rudhar, Noib and Shoib scored one goal each.
Xen PHE Rajinder Kumar and Nirdosh Kumar Manager Sports Stadium Poonch were the chief guests of matches played today. Vijay Kumar PEM, Pawan Kumar Hockey Coach, Matinderpal Singh Hockey Coach, Sourab Sharma and Rajinder Singh were also present.
The matches were officiated by technical panel comprising of Ranveet Singh, Vikas Raina, Shobit Tandon, Shokat, Akshay and Gunpreet.
The championship is being conducted under technical supervision of Mukesh Kumar, Hockey Coach.
