JAMMU, Oct 28: Bhartiya Shiksha Samiti, running 38 recognised Schools in the State, organized its Annual Science Exhibition in Sant Bal Yogeshwar Bhartiya Vidya Mandir Dadwara, Phinter Billawar in Kathua.
The Exhibition was attended by 175 students alongwith 25 Science teachers from Kishtwar, Ramban, Doda, Udhampur, Billawar, Kathua, Reasi, Samba and Jammu.
The programme was inaugurated by Dr YS Bedi, Chief Scientist and Officiating Director IIIM Jammu and Dr Suresh Chandra, Chief Scientist IIIM Jammu.
Pradip Kumar, Sangathan Mantri BSS was the main speaker. The dignitaries present on the occasion were Ram Lal Sharma, working president BSS Jammu, Dr Subash Gupta, treasurer BSS Jammu and Samir Krishan Saproo, Office Secretary BSS Jammu.
Pradip Singh, Prant Vigyan Pramukh BSS presented aims and objectives of the Gyan Vigyan Mela.
60 models were displayed by the young Scientists from class 4th to class 10th. On spot practical demonstration, Science quiz, Sanskriti Gyan Pariksha quiz and paper reading contest was also organized in the programme.
Prizes were distributed among the winners on the valedictory function.
The ceremony was presided over by Charan Dass Gupta, Sanrakshak of the School and was attended by CR Spolia, Karan Singh, Bharat Bhushan Gupta and other School Management Committee members.
The prizes were sponsored by State Bank of India Regional Office Jammu.
Vote of thanks was presented by Ram Lal Sharma, Working President BSS Jammu.
