Bhalwal-Marh lifts Volleyball, Kabaddi titles; Udhampur wins U-14 Handball Competition

JAMMU, Sept 9: Inter Zonal and District Level Competitions, being organized by Department of Youth Services and Sports in various disciplines were played at different venues.
JAMMU: Inter Zonal District Level Competitions for Under-19 boys in the disciplines of Volleyball and Kabaddi concluded at GHSS Domana.
In Volleyball, Bhalwal-Marh defeated Khour-Jourian by 2-1 sets in the final (25-19, 16-25 and 25-17). Vikrant Bhau and Vikrant Chib of Marh-Bhalwal were declared as best players in the final.
Earlier in the first semis, Bhalwal-Marh beat Akhnoor-Chowki Choura in straight 2-0 sets (25-12 and 25-17) and in the second semis, Khour-Jourian smashed Jammu-Dansal in 2-1 sets (25-15, 17-25 and 25-17).
In Kho-Kho final, Akhnoor-Chowki Choura beat Bhalwal-Marh by 13-8 points. Rishib Sharma and Vikrant Paul of Akhnoor-Chowki Choura and Ashwani Kumar and Rajinder Kumar of Bhalwal-Marh were declared as best players in the final.
Earlier in the first semifinal, Akhnoor-Chowki Choura beat RS Pura-Miran Sahib by 6 points and in the second semis, Bhalwal-Marh crushed Jourian-Khour by one turn and 7 points.
In Kabaddi final, Bhalwal-Marh crushed Arnia-Bishnah by 19 points. Earlier in the first semis, Jourian-Marh beat Gandhi Nagar-Satwari by 23 points and in the second semifinal, Bhalwal-Marh Zone outplayed Arnia-Bishnah by 25 points.
UDHAMPUR: Divisional Level Inter District Tournament for girls of All Age Group in the discipline of Handball concluded.
In under-14 final, Udhampur defeated Kathua by 5 goals, whereas in under-17 final, Jammu smashed Udhampur by 6 goals and in under-19, Udhampur registered win over Jammu by 6 goals.
