DODA, Jan 3: Bhaderwah team defeated Bhart team and lifted the Cricket League title.
The Cricket League was organized by Army at sports stadium here, in which 12 teams from Dessa and Ghat participated.
The event was aimed at promoting sports amongst youth from remote villages of the area to positively engage them. Sports also foster a healthy spirit of competition, discipline and zeal to excel amongst youth driving them to work hard. Sports events also bind students irrespective of caste, colour, creed and religion, thus promoting social and communal harmony.
The people of the area said that this step will further stem the mutual trust and confidence between the Armed Forces and the civilians and consequently develop a better environment for sustaining peace and development in the region.
