RAJOURI, Aug 11: Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University (BGSBU) organized Badminton tournament for faculty members, here today.
The tournament was organized by Directorate of Physical Education and Sports. The opening match was played between Prof Akbar Masood Vice Chancellor of BGSBU and Asif Husain Dean SoET, wherein the former emerged as winner by defeating latter by 2-0.
The 2nd match was played between Dr Pervaz Alam Assistant Professor Civil Engineering and Zeshan Aslam Assistant Professor Civil Engineering. The match was won by Dr Pervaz Alam with 2-1, whereas the 3rd match was played between Dr Sanjay Jamal, Assistant Professor Computer Science Department and Jatinder Kumar Assistant Professor Management Studies in senior category.
On this occasion, Prof Akbar Masood applauded the role of participants and organizers in sports activity and said that such activities should continue for the holistic development of the Institution.
Professor Iqbal Pervaz Dean Academic Affairs, Professor GM Malik Dean Students, Professor Asif Hussain Dean SoET, Mohammed Rashid Chowdhary OSD, Suneet Gupat Special Secretary and Mohmmad Din Deputy Director Sports were also present during the event.
