RAJOURI, Dec 1: The football team of Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University (BGSBU) Rajouri won the opening match of North Zone Inter-University Football Championship, defeating Haridawar University by (2-0) at Chandigarh.
The Football team of BGSBU is participating in North Zone Inter-University Football Championship which is being hosted by Punjab University Chandigarh.
The first goal was scored by Aqleem Makdoomi in 16th minute of first half, while in the 2nd half Sahil Kundal scored the 2nd goal in 58th minute of the game.
Meanwhile Vice Chancellor, Prof I A Hamal and Dean of Students Mohammad Rashid Chowdhary and Deputy Director Sports, Mohd Din lauded the efforts of the students for this achievement.
The 2nd match will be played tomorrow against host team Punjab University at 2 pm.
The team is being accompanied by R C Bhat as coach.
