BISHNAH, Apr 28: BCC drubs SKCC in the Shaheed Subadar Karnail Singh Tri-Series organised by GS Sports Club, here.
Kawaljit Singh Bali, Tehsildar in Divisional Commissioner Office Jammu was the chief guest, while SHO Rattan Singh Rana was the guest of honour.
Er Anuj Tidyal, Liaison Officer Tawi Collges was the special guest.
Earlier, Founder cum Chairman Nations Development Association NDA Kr Sushil Singh Charak and President GS Sports Club, Sushant Gupta and Sushil Singh Charak welcomed the guests.
The match was played between SKCC and BCC, in which former emerged winner by 6 wickets and Jasbir Singh Motton was declared as the man of the match.
SKCC won the toss and chose to bat first to set a target of 204 runs in 20 overs. Aaqib top scored with 65 runs off 35 balls, while Aman Cheema contributed 40 runs to the total.
In reply, BCC chased the target in 17 overs. Jasbir Singh Motton top scored with 65 off 33 balls, while Pawan contributed 56 runs off 27 balls. Sahil and Shallu took 2 wickets each.
Chief guest, Mr Bali while paying tributes to Shaheed Subedar Karnail Singh appreciated the role of the youth of Bishnah including sportspersons in eradicating menace of drugs prevalent in the society by involving maximum youth in sports activities.
Lavishing praise on GS Sports Club, Mr Bali said that the Club is doing great job in promoting sports and organizing events in the loving memory of martyrs.
He called upon the sportspersons to promote local sports like Wrestling, Kabbadi and other rural sports so that maximum people are involved in these community initiatives.
