RAJOURI, Dec 14: Bathan Cricket tournament, organised by Budhal Youth, culminated with the finals match of the tournament, here today.
About 16 teams from various parts of the Rajouri district participated in the tournament with zeal which was organised by local youth namely Mohd Ayub and Askar Ali.
The final match of tournament was played between Bathan Cricket team and Sher Garhi Cricket Club wherein former emerged the winner and lifted the title trophy of the tournament.
On this occasion BJP youth wing spokesperson Manzoor Ahmed Naik was the chief guest and SHO Budhal, Mustaj Chowdhary was the guest of honour.
Naik encouraged the youth to actively participate in games and sports and focus on physical fitness. He also urged the youth of this far flung region to gain benefit from various Government schemes of employment generation so that the youth can encourage the income of their families as well as the economy of the country.
SHO Budhal also urged the youth to refrain themselves from bad habits like smoking and drug addiction and focus on their education and career. Later, the winner and runner-up teams were awarded with prizes by the dignitaries of the event.
