JAMMU, May 29: To train the students and staff members in dealing with emergency situations like disasters and helping people, five days Basic Civil Defence Training programme was organized by Santosh Magotra, Divisional Warden Division No.4 at SOS Home (Orphan Balgram) Channi Rama, here today.
50 students participated in the programme. Veena Honda, MD Honda Colleges, Tiny Tots Group of Sr Sec School and ETT Colleges was the chief guest on the occasion, while Amirsh Khajuria, secretary and Urmil Khajuria, Principal SOS Home were also present.
The camp was organized under the guidance of Additional Director General of Police HG / Civil Defence and SDRF, J&K and close supervision of Tajinder Kour, Deputy Controller Civil Defence, Jammu.
Speaking on the occasion, she said that the main aim of the training programme was to facilitate the students / staff members with regard to preventive history of Civil Defence and importance of Earth Quake, Fire Fighting, First Aid and Floods. Rajinder Kumar, Civil Defence Instructor was present on the occasion.
