SRINAGAR, Dec 18: The J&K Baseball Association (JKBA) is organizing two days selection trials for both men and women for forthcoming 29th Senior National Baseball Championship scheduled to be held at PJL Nehru Stadium, Margao, Goa, organized by the Goa Baseball Association under the auspices of Amateur Baseball Federation of India in January 2015.
The selection trials will be held at Islamia College, Srinagar on December19 and December 20, 2014 at 11 am.
According to a handout issued here the trials will be open for all, however, preference will be given to those who have already represented the J&K State at sub-junior, junior or senior levels in National Baseball Championships and recently held 9th State Level Baseball Championship at Srinagar in November, 2014.
“All the affiliated district units, educational institutions and clubs of the Association have been asked to send best probable in the selection trials along with original DoB certificates, eligibility certificates issued from concerned Institute, Domicile certificates and latest 6 Passport size photographs on the day of selection trials positively,” said Fida Hussain Fidvi, general secretary of J&K Baseball Association.
Fidvi further said that the selected players have to undergo 10 days coaching camp prior to their participation in National Baseball Championship under the supervision of J&K State Sports Council.
