BARAMULLA, Nov 10: Baramulla Football Championship got underway at Sports Stadium, here today.
16 teams will be participating in the tournament from Baramulla and adjoining areas including old town, Sheeri, Janbazpura and Uskara.
The tournament is being held on knockout basis under the aegis of Dagger Division by 46 RR.
The idea behind this tournament is to foster goodwill among the youth and inculcate sporting culture.
The opening match was played between Young’s Baramulla Deewanbagh and Dash Football Club Uskara in which Young’s Baramulla defeated Dash Football Club via tie-breaker.
