RAJOURI, Oct 26: The Lam Premier League 2.0 Volleyball Tournament, organized by the Indian Army under Operation Sadbhavana, concluded with Bagnoti Club and Trikuta Club lifting the championship titles. Bagnoti Club defeated Kanwal Club in the boys’ final, while Trikuta Club triumphed over Samba Volleyball Team in the girls’ category. Winners were awarded Rs 50,000 each and runners-up Rs 30,000.
The event saw participation from 26 teams across Samba, Jammu, Udhampur, Rajouri, Poonch and Srinagar, highlighting talent, teamwork and sportsmanship. The finals witnessed thrilling matches, with Bagnoti and Trikuta emerging as the strongest teams.
The closing ceremony was graced by Brigadier R.K. Singh, commander of the 163 Infantry, who praised the players for discipline, teamwork, and character-building. He emphasized that sports foster resilience and leadership among youth.
The Lam Premier League, now in its second edition, aims to bridge gaps between the Army and local communities while promoting volleyball and youth engagement. Exceptional players may receive professional coaching and sponsorships to pursue higher-level competitions.
