Aryan wins U-14 boys judo gold

JAMMU, Aug 29: Aryan Khajuria of Jammu bagged gold in below 25 kg Under-14 boys judo, while Panku Kumar of Kathua won silver in this category of Divisional Level Inter-District Tournament in the disciplines of judo and rope skipping, being held at Indoor Complex, MA Stadium, here.
Five districts of Jammu division are participating in the event which is being held under the overall supervision of Ashok Kumar, Deputy Director Youth Services and Sports Jammu.
Meanwhile, in other matches of Under-14 category, Sumedh of Jammu toppled  Farid Ali of Kathua in below 30 kg category, Surjeet Singh of Reasi overpowered Shreesh Manhas of Jammu in 35 kg, Nikhil Singh of Jammu got better of Abdul Karim of Kathua in 40 kg, Bilal Ahmed of Jammu trounced Liaqat Ali of Kathua in 45 kg, Parvinder Kumar of Jammu outclassed Mohd Akbar of Kathua in 50 kg, while in 50+ category Babu Din of Kathua drubbed Sewa Ram of Doda.
In Under-17 boys judo, the gold medals were claimed by Jeewan Singh in 40 kg, Anmol Abrol in 45 KG, Kunal Sharma in 50 kg, Shubam Singh in 55 kg, Muzaffar Ali in 60 kg, Karandeep in 65 kg, Abhijeet Singh in 71 kg and Dheeraj Kumar in 71+ kg.
In judo Under-19 boys, Munish Khajuria claimed 45 kg gold, Sahil Dogra bagged 50 kg gold, Sahil Sharma 55 kg gold, Abhishek Choudhary 60 kg gold, Sourav Badwal bagged 65 kg gold, Subash Singh clinched 71 kg gold, while Varun Kashtri claimed 71+ kg gold.
Meanwhile, in rope skipping events, Meenakshi of Kishtwar claimed first place in Speed Hop 30 Seconds gold , Aditya Bindal of District Jammu bagged Speed 30 seconds gold, Praguni Goel of Jammu claimed Endurance 3 minutes gold and Bhoomika, Jivika Raina, Yasmeen Banoo and Mamta Devi of Doda claimed gold in Team Relay 4×30 seconds.
