Aryan scores 87 in Sidhant Academy’s big win

JAMMU, July 8: Riding on superb batting display by Kumar Aryan and Kumar Dhananjay, Sidhant Cricket Academy scripted a big win over MIER Cricket Academy in the ongoing Hot Weather U-15 Cricket Tournament, being organized by Kishan Chand Cricket Club (KCCC) at GGM Science College Hostel ground, here.
The Tournament is being held under the chairmanship of Ankush Abrol, former Member BCCI and Member Working Committee JKCA.
Earlier, winning the toss and batting first, Sidhant Cricket Academy scored a decent total of 221 runs in 35 overs, losing 7 wickets in the process. Kumar Aryan was the top scorer with 87 runs, while Kumar Dhananjay scored 67 runs to the total. Tripjot also contributed valuable 28 runs. For MIER Academy, Aditya Abrol, Sachin Sharma and Karmanya bagged 1 wicket each.
In reply, MIER Academy, though rode on a brilliant knock of 80 runs by Dikshant Kundal, yet managed to score 179 runs in 34.2 overs, thus lost the match by 42 runs. Sachin Sharma and Aditya Abrol were the other contributors with 18 and 17 runs to the total respectively. For Sidhant Academy, Keshav, Tripjot and Kumar Dhananjay took 2 wickets each. Kumar Aryan was declared as man of the match for his splendid batting performance.
The match was officiated by Sachiq Hussain Malik and Ashok Singh as umpires, while Shiv Kumar was the scorer.
