JAMMU, July 26: Aryan Manhas of Raman House clinched gold in 24-26 weight category and was adjudged best boxer in the Inter-House Boxing Championship of BSF Senior Secondary School at BSF Stadium, here today.
Arun Bhagat of Gandhi House bagged silver in this category, while Aditya Jamwal and Shiv Kumar of Nehru House and Tagore House respectively bagged bronze medals.
In 26-28 weight category, Ratul Jamwal of Nehru House won gold, Paras Bhagat of Tagore House claimed silver, while Ajit Basant of Raman House and Lakshay Mangotra of Gandhi House clinched bronze medals in this weight category.
Parveen Kumar of Gandhi House bagged gold in 28-30 wt category, while Vipin Choudhary of Raman House got silver and Jatin Manhas of Tagore House claimed bronze.
In 30-32 wt category, Vasudev got gold, Vishal Bhat claimed silver, while Arul Bhasin and Saathvik Jamwal bagged bronze medals. In 32-34 wt, Sumit Manhas, gold, Jasmeet Singh, silver, while Manik Sharma and Swastik claimed bronze medals.
In 34-36 wt, Saksham Jasrotia won gold, Danish Rakwal silver, while Saurav Sharma and Prajwal claimed bronze medals. In 36-39 wt, Piyuhdev Singh got gold, Shivamdev Singh claimed silver, while bronze medals went to Harpreet Singh and Nishant Bawa.
In 39-42 category, Saurav Wadia bagged gold, Akash Bhagat got silver and Akib Hussain claimed bronze. Apoorva Mishra got gold in 42-45 weight category, while Manmohit Singh claimed silver, Vidaan Bhat and Karan Chib claimed bronze medals.
In 45-48 category, Yuvraj Upadhay bagged gold, Sahil Singh clinched silver, while Akash and Nilesh claimed bronze medals in this weight category.
All these boxers are being imparted training by Rajinder Singh, physical education teacher, BSF Senior Secondary School Paloura.
Meanwhile, DIG BSF, GS Sharma was the chief guest on the occasion, while DIG BS Patiyal was the guest of honour. Principal SS Khokhar was also present on the occasion.
