Aryan Mahajan wins in 2016 Edgeball Chicago International TT Tourney

JAMMU, Nov 1: Ace peddler Aryan Mahajan won first place in U-1600 event of the 2016 Edgeball Chicago International Table Tennis Tournament today.
On Day -1in U-1600 Aryan won in the group (3-0)
He played Dominique Clark and won 3-0 in quarterfinal and played Pongrapee Rattana-hattakul and won 3-1 in semifinal and defeated Ronnie Coleman in the finals by 3-0.
In U-1800, Aryan lost in the semifinal to Rohit Menon by 3-2. Earlier, he won the group (3-0) and thrashed Mathew Morris by 3-1 in pre-quarterfinal and defeated John Oros by 3-1 in quarterfinal.
On Day 2 in U-1700, Aryan emerged runners-up. He won in the group (3-0) and played Oscar Gomez and won 3-1 in pre-quarterfinal. He played Paul Williamsand in the quarterfinal and won 3-2. Aryan played Don Dyer and won 3-0 in semifinal. He lost to Rajat Prakash in the final by 3-1.
He took place in Chicago, Illinois. Over 300 participants took part in the tournament which was sponsored by Joola.
Many international players participated in the tournament namely Jörgen Persson (Former World Champion), Chen Wei-xingan Austrian table tennis player whose personal best ranking was World number 9 in 2006, 4 times Olympian Lucjan Boaszczyk and Thiago Monteiro who is currently ranked number 1 in Brazil.
He has won several other tournaments this year. The most recent tournament Aryan has won was 2016 Millcreek Open.
