JAMMU, Nov 9: The Indian Army Battalion under Crossed Swords Division distributed furniture containing 48 joint study tables and chairs to Govt Higher Secondary School, Kharah, yesterday.
The joy and enthusiasm was evident on the faces of the students on receiving the furniture as they too could enjoy studying on the desks provided to them.
Speaking at the impressive ceremony, RD Verma, Principal of the School appreciated the gesture of the Indian Army of understanding the need of students in the remote village Kharah, which will go a long way in equipping the young children to perform well in life.
Apart from the Headmaster, the event was attended by Desh Raj Sharma, Sarpanch and Balwan Singh, Zonal Education Planning Officer.
