PULWAMA, Dec 17: Continuing its efforts to spread peace and harmony among the people, 55 Rashtriya Rifles Battalion organized a Cricket Tournament, under Operation Sadbhawana, here.
8 teams of Pulwama district participated in the Tournament, who were provided with all the necessary items alongwith kit by the Army.
CO. 55 RR Col Vishal Singh said that the Tournament turned out to the great success as the youths of Pulwama district participated with great zeal, enthusiasm and sportsman spirit.
“It is an endeavour of the Indian Army to provide opportunity to the youth to fine-tune their skills,’’ said an Army official,
The final of the Tournament was played between Pulwama Huntars and Washbugh XI today which was won by Pulwama Huntars by 4 wickets.
Prizes were distributed among the winners and runners-up teams on the occasion.
