RAJOURI, Aug 31: To promote bonhomie and harmony among the local populace, civil administration and the Indian Army, an Inter Village Kabaddi competition was conducted from August 20, which concluded at Chasana, here today.
The competition was aimed at providing impetus to Army’s efforts to promote positive youth development through sports and also provided a platform to them to showcase their talent.
A total of 12 teams from various villages of Rajouri District participated in the tournament on league cum knock-out basis.
Budhal one team was adjudged the champion team after beating UP team in a competitive and keenly contested match.
Hundreds of locals witnessed the match.
All the participating team members displayed excellent sportsman spirit during the conduct of the tournament. The local populace of Rajouri expressed their gratitude towards the Army in its endeavours to motivate the youth of the region.
