RAMBAN, Dec 26: Shiraz Volleyball Club Batote won the final match defeating Latti Volleyball Club by 2-0 sets, organized by Army at Government Higher Secondary School Batote, here today.
About 12 teams from Ramban and Udhampur districts participated. The winning team was awarded with a cash prize of Rs 4000 and a trophy, while the runner up team was awarded with a cash prize of Rs 2000.
The Principal, Government Model Higher Secondary School, Warn Singh Jiral was the chief guest on the occasion who gave away the prizes to the winners and the runners-up teams.
The Army had organized this tournament in order to eradicate drug abuse, inculcate physical fitness, discipline and brotherhood among youth.
