Srinagar, July 19: Army Goodwill School Balapur which is being run by 44 RR celebrated its Annual Day with pomp and gaiety.
Various Civil dignitaries and parents of the students graced the occasion. The highlight of the event was a colourful Cultural Programme organized by the students of the school. A number of attractive prizes were awarded by the Chief Guest, General Officer Commanding, Victor Force to the best performing students of all classes and to the teaching faculty.
Speaking on the occasion, Commander 12 Sect RR, complemented the teachers and students of the school for putting up an absorbing event and for outstanding the results achieved by the school during the Academic Year both in academics and extracurricular activities. He also congratulated the school for clinching 2nd position in Inter AGS Upkeep and Maintenance Competition. He wished the school all success in its future endeavours. Shameed Ahmed Rajar father of Juaid-ul-Islam a student of 9th class said “his child was indeed fortunate to be studying in one of the premium schools of the District which offered both quality English medium education and state of the art facilities” and expressed his gratefulness to the Army for facilitating the development of the children of the area.
