URI, May 25: Army Goodwill School, Uri celebrated its 13th Annual Day in a colourful ceremony held at the School ground, here today.
Raised in the year 2000 as a primary school, the AGS Uri has evolved into aquality educational institute over the years.
The Annual Day function was a cultural extravaganza that showcased theimmense talent pool that the school nurtures.
Maj Gen VG Khandare, General Officer Commanding Dagger Division was the chief guest on the occasion.
Speaking at the event, Maj Gen Khandare complimented the teachers andstudents for bringing out the inaugural issue of school magazine ‘TASSAVUR’.
He also inaugurated the school website www.agsuri.com andsaid that the initiative was in line with the times and will provide a
forum for interaction among alumni, obtaining feedback and suggestions and will assist in further development of the school. He also informed the audience that raising of Junior Division NCC Sub Unit for 50 students had been sanctioned by the Army HQ.
