JAMMU, Feb 18: Three days J&K UT Archery Championship, being organized by the Archery Association of Jammu & Kashmir got underway at Gulshan Ground Jammu under the aegis of J&K State Sports Council & J&K Olympic Association.
Danesh Rana (ADGP) was the chief guest, whereas Ashutosh Sharma (President J&K Olympic Association & Dushyant Sharma (SSP Staff Officer to ADGP Armed) were the special guests.
The matches were officiated by Darshana Devi, Archery Coach (JKP), Simmi Sharma (A Coach), Aman Sargral, Sahil Sharma and Madhav Pal Singh, whereas the championship is being organized under the chairmanship of Sunil Sharma (Sr. vice president) Archery Association of J&K and Vikas Gupta (organising secretary)
In Junior Boys Indian round 40 mtrs, Bhawani Singh clinched Gold medal, Pariv Khajuria won Silver medal and Pankaj Kumar secured Bronze medal, whereas in Sub junior boys, 60 mtrs (Recurve) Brishav Jamwal secured Gold medal and in Mini Indian round boys 20 mtrs, Parnaam Gandotra won Gold medal, Pranav Singh secured Silver and Rudhar Pratap Singh clinched Bronze medal.
In Junior compound men 50 mtrs, Gold, Silver and Bronze medals were secured by Hritik Sharma, Ankush Thappa Silver and Nikhil Sharma respectively, whereas in Junior compound women 50 mtrs, Sunaina Devi won Gold medal and in Mini compound boys, Yash Gupta won Gold medal.
In Indian round junior boys 30 mtrs, Parriv Khajuria got 1st Gold medal, whereas Pankaj Kumar won 2nd Silver medal and Bhawani Singh secured 3rd Bronze medal and in Junior compound men 50 mtrs, Ankush Thapa, Hritik Sharma and Nikhil Sharma bagged Gold, Silver and Bronze medals respectively besides in Junior compound women 50 mtrs, Sunaina Devi clinched Gold medal, whereas in Sub junior recurve 50 mtrs Brishav Jamwal succeeded to win Gold medal and in Mini/Indian round boys 30 mtrs, Parnaam Gandotra and Pranav Singh secured Gold and Silver medals respectively.
In Sub junior compound boys 50 mtrs, Yash Gupta won Gold medal.
