JAMMU, May 12: Army Public School Sunjwan today inaugurated its newly constructed Indoor Badminton Court, “Shuttle Smashers,” marking another major step in strengthening sports infrastructure on the campus. The facility was formally inaugurated by Brig SS Kamatnurkar, Commander Strike 36 and Chairman of Army Public School Sunjwan, in the presence of senior dignitaries, school authorities, staff members and enthusiastic students.
The newly developed badminton court aims to provide students with modern sporting facilities and encourage them to pursue excellence in sports alongside academics. The initiative reflects the school’s continued commitment towards the holistic growth and overall development of students through quality infrastructure and opportunities in co-curricular activities.
Over the past year, APS Sunjwan has significantly enhanced its sports ecosystem by establishing a state-of-the-art shooting range, archery setup and a multipurpose hall. The inauguration of “Shuttle Smashers” adds another milestone to the institution’s journey towards infrastructural and sporting excellence.
After the ribbon-cutting ceremony, Brig Kamatnurkar interacted with students and motivated them to make full use of the facility while upholding discipline, dedication and the true spirit of sportsmanship.
