APS Rakhmuthi organizes English, Hindi Declamation Competition

JAMMU, May 14: Army Public School Rakhmuthi, organised an Inter-School English and Hindi Declamation Competition at its Auditorium, here today.
The programme commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by the chief guest, Chairman of the School.
He also addressed students with his welcoming and inspiring words laying stress on the importance of such events in providing awareness, improving communication skills and confidence amongst the students.
Six Schools from Northern Command participated in the competition which included APS Akhnoor, APS Nagrota, APS Udhampur , APS Dhar Road, APS Srinagar and APS Rakhmuthi.
The topics of English and Hindi Declamation were ‘Role Of Students in Combating Corruption’ and ‘Charitra Ke Bina Shiksha Adhuri’ respectively. The declamation witnessed a fierce competition with dexterous articulation between participants.
First position was bagged by Shivani from APS Akhnoor and second position was shared by Suneha Chib from APS Rakhmuthi and Prithwish Ghosh from APS Udhampur in English.
In Hindi Declamation, Muskan from APS Akhnoor got first position and Kirti Devi from APS Rakhmuthi claimed second position.
Rutkar Verma from APS Nagrota and Shivam Bhatyar from APS Nagrota were adjudged best speakers in English and Hindi respectively.
The Principal of the School, Haswati Ghosh presented vote of thanks.
The programme concluded with the National Anthem.
