JAMMU, Aug 5: Army Public School (APS), Rakhmuthi celebrated Grandparents Day with pomp and show.
The function was inaugurated by Principal of the institution Shaswati Ghosh.
It was a special day for all those who attended the programme as it gave a chance to interact with an age group that is most often, overlooked. It was a visual treat to watch the children all dressed up to take charge for the day.
The function was packed with songs and performances by the children. Performances of the children were received with thunderous applause by the grandparents.
Grandfather’s of the children recollected the days and share their experiences with the children. They added that the school’s decision to celebrate Grandparent’s Day will bring about a positive change in the outlook of the present generation.
In the end, Principal Shaswati Ghosh presented vote of thanks.
